Hockey Canada’s 2025 U17 World Challenge – Sweden vs. Finland – Exhibition Game

31st Oct 2025 at 7:30pm

The 2025 U17 World Challenge is a premier international tournament that showcases the next generation of hockey superstars. Featuring six elite teams—Team Czechia, Team Finland, Team Sweden, Team USA, Team Canada Red, and Team Canada White—the event brings together top-tier talent from around the globe for a week of fast-paced, high-intensity competition.

Acadia University is set to host Team Sweden vs Team Finland in the Andrew. H. McCain Arena on October 31 at 7:30pm. That's right, Halloween night, it's no trick, but there will be treats, a costume contest, and more. Bring the whole family out to Acadia's Athletic Complex this Halloween!

Fans will be treated to an electric atmosphere, where speed, skill, and raw determination take centre ice. They will have the chance to witness future NHL stars take their first strides on the international stage.

The 2025 U17 Challenge promises more than just hockey—it’s a celebration of the sport’s global spirit. Building on the success of past events like the 2022 World Juniors in Halifax and the 2023 World Junior A Challenge in Truro, this year’s tournament is set to deliver another unforgettable chapter in Canadian hockey history.

“We couldn’t be more excited to invite the world back to Truro this fall,” said Mike Field, Hockey Nova Scotia.

"The World Under-17 Hockey Challenge provides an incredible opportunity for our hockey community to come together to watch and celebrate some of the best players on the planet in their age group before they become stars at the next level. For aspiring hockey players throughout Nova Scotia, we know this will be an inspiring event and we are so proud to be able to welcome these teams and their fans to our province.”
