Past Events
Acadia University has long been a desired event destination, and has a rich history of event hosting. In recent years, with the development of Events Acadia, we have played host to Local, Regional, National, and International events, in addition to hundreds of conferences, conventions, and private functions.
“Acadia was a tremendous venue and host for the CFL’s Touchdown Atlantic game in 2022. Transforming a 1,750-seat university venue into a 10,886 home for professional football is no easy feat, but that’s exactly what we are able to accomplish alongside Tanya Colburne and her incredible Events Acadia team. Logistical challenges were handled with care and even the smallest of details was executed perfectly. The event showcased the best of the region – from family-focused fun and local East Coast fare, to lively musical guests and energetic tailgate parties. Almost 8,000 out-of-town visitors took in the sights and sounds of CFL football, while being treated to scenic Wolfville and the hospitality of the East Coast. Touchdown Atlantic 2022 was an overwhelming success for the CFL, Acadia University and the surrounding region. We couldn’t have imagined a better venue, a more welcoming environment, nor a better community, in which to bring our vision for the event to life, than Acadia!” – Grey Cup & Events Team, CFL
